Hi, I'm Sue
and thank you for visiting my website

Our lives have always struck me as being like meadows, lots of grass, thorny brambles, stinging nettles and weeds but also beautiful daisies, buttercups and clover. Overall it works together and looks beautiful sometimes even stunning, but if the brambles and stinging nettles take over, the meadow doesn't look so lovely. Life can never be without sadness or difficulties but at Grove Meadows Counselling the aim is to support you in processing your thoughts and feelings and finding self acceptance and a way to navigate life so that the thistles and nettles are not so overwhelming.

    My Story

I have lived and worked locally for most of my life. The majority of my career has been in primary school teaching but from my early twenties I wanted to become a counsellor. Finally after over thirty years I have achieved my dream and I am a fully qualified counsellor and an accredited registrant member of the The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I consider it a huge privilege to be part of someone's journey of understanding, acceptance and change.

Over the years I have needed counselling myself and I understand how hard it is to seek this help but how valuable counselling is when you are in difficulty and feel overwhelmed. It is a powerful relief to have someone properly listen to you with kindness and without judgement and to be finally heard.
